When I explained that I don’t eat red meat and one of us was vegetarian, the staff member patiently explained each item on the menu and customized everything according to the spice level we requested. She also provided extra house-special hot sauce, which was excellent. I had the best Mexican food in a long time and would highly recommend this place."

"Maria's Kitchen is delicious and affordable! I was passing through town to visit the nearby state park and found this local joint. The workers inside were very nice and the entire place was compliant with mask mandates and COVID safety. I ordered a steak burrito, elote, and a pork torta, along with their horchata. Everything was delicious!There were picnic tables outside and I felt comfortable and safe to eat outside (this is during COVID times). The worker was so kind and brought an umbrella to stick in the picnic table so it was shaded. He brought out the trays of food to us outside, as well. The service was so helpful and I had a wonderful afternoon."
